A general and persistent lack of comfort plagues millions of moms-to-be, which makes it difficult for them to fully enjoy the rewarding experience of being pregnant. Fortunately, there are several steps you can take to reduce your discomfort.

Below, we’ll examine a few suggestions tht will aid you in making your second and third timesters more enjoyable. You’ll learn how the right shoes, clothes, undergarments, and diet can play major roles in helping you enjoy this special time in your life.

Invest In The Right Shoes

As your feet go, so goes your mood. During your pregnancy, your feet may swell. Many women even experience an increase in their shoe size. This is due to water retention and the release of relaxin, a hormone that relaxes your ligaments. Meanwhile, as your feet begin to outgrow your shoes, extra weight is being placed upon them. This can quickly cause discomfort for your entire body.

Invest in flats and kitten heels to take some pressure off of your back. Not only will they provide more comfort, but as your balance changes, you’ll be less likely to stumble and take a dangerous fall.

Clothes That Fit Your Body

You can probably continue wearing your pre-pregnancy clothes throughout the beginning your first trimester. However, by week number ten or eleven, they’ll begin to feel a little too snug around your body. That’s a sign you’re ready for maternity clothes.

Many moms-to-be avoid transitioning to maternity wear for a number of reasons, including cost and vanity. While some designers arguably charge a high price, a lot of maternity clothes are reasonably priced to fit most budgets. What’s more, the unfashionable tops and bottoms of yesteryear have been replaced by stylish clothes that combine playfulness with a dash of sophistication.

When you feel your clothes becoming tight, treat your body to maternity wear that offers a more comfortable fit.

Maternity Bras And Undergarments

Your breasts will grow during your pregnancy, a situation that offers benefits and drawbacks. While you’ll relish your new curves, you might also experience back pain if your bras offer insufficient support. Invest in maternity bras that provide the support your body needs in order for you to feel comfortable.

While you’re shopping, consider purchasing undies that are designed to accomodate your lower half. Far from the unflattering pregnancy undies of old, today’s designers have created lingerie that will complement your figure and lift your mood.

A Diet To Help Curb The Morning Blues

Morning sickness is practically inescapable. Most women suffer some level of nausea during their pregnancy. For some, the constant nausea makes its appearance during the first trimester and turn into an unwelcome guest for the duration.

First, if the nausea is particularly severe, ask your obstetrician to suggest a few foods that can lessen the effects. For example, crackers can help reduce the severity of motion sickness because the taste is relatively bland. Also, try citrusy fruits, such as oranges or grated lemons. Some moms-to-be find lightly-salted potato chips provide relief.

Treating Your Skin With Care

Use lotion and sunscreen liberally to protect your skin from the elements. Doing so will prevent dryness and itchiness, which can quickly become frustrating while you’re pregnant. Also, if you have the time, consider making an appointment at a day spa. A pedicure, facial, and massage can do wonders for your comfort and your mood.

Pregnancy is a memorable time during which you’ll revel at the life growing within you. It’s also a period of great challenges as your body grows to accomodate your baby. Use the suggestions above to stay as comfortable as possible while waiting for your little one to finally arrive.

However, getting back to them as newborns, if you’re going to feed them formula move on. However, get a double breast pump if you’re not. It will give you the collection time of milk a lot shorter, than other pumps out there.

Plus when going out as they get older, you will need to have a tandem stroller. Because you will not always be going out as a family, and one person can’t push two items themselves. So save yourself time, money and energy. This should really be a must when it comes to parents of twins.

Something that will be used later on, but you’re going to need is baby bath toys. Now depending on if you have a boy or girl, you will buy different items. But a rubber ducky will work for either, and it’s a great start on something fun to play with during bath time.

Yes it may be a bit more expensive for you and your husband. However, with shopping in the right places you may save a ton of money. Consignment stores are a fantastic way to not only be able to by new items but barely used items at inexpensive prices. Plus you will be able to take in items that you can’t use anymore, and they will take them in, as long as they are in good shape.

Not sure of what colors to buy, because you don’t know what you’re having? Simple enough is to get those colors that are neutral. Though truthfully it is a lot easier to plan when you know what you’re having.

One thing is for sure that this time will be one of the best in your life. Giving life to another person is something that is hard to explain, but simply wonderful. Enjoy the times while you can because it’s true those years will fly by.

Need to get rid of this pregnancy acne! :(?

It’s a Girl!!! 5/20/10 :) asked:

I’m going to the store tonight to buy some products to see if I can try and clear up some of this mess on my face! I’m 18 weeks pregnant. To be honest, even though I know its bad, before I got pregnant, I rarely even washed my face with a facewash. I have never been prone to breakouts. Now, its so bad I can’t take it anymore. And with the acne, came more makeup than I’ve ever used before trying to control the nasty look of the zits and redness. So I think I’m clogging my face even more. I have started a routine. I wash my face with Aveeno naturals every morning and night and like to use a light moisturizer morning and night as well. I just found out my moisturizer has salycilic acid in it so I’ve quit using it. Does anyone have a good routine with products that aren’t going to break me?
